Aitheon retrofitted the customer's existing vehicles with Autonomous Vehicle Kits to unspool wire throughout the solar field. This eliminates the risk of caught in-between injuries, creating safer job sites for everyone and a large reduction in labor costs.

This company uses huck fasteners, for their fast assembly speed, to connect previously installed torque tubes together, but the height of the hydraulic pump equipment for hucking did not allow drivers to drive vehicles with pumps under the torque tubes.

During the assembly, positioning the hydraulic pump equipment by entering each row and exiting by backing up consumed more time than the actual assembly process and required an additional employee as a spotter to back up the equipment, increasing labor costs.


Aitheon’s BotCrew rental service provided a customized driverless 36" tall John Deere Gator with a custom-made trailer to carry the hydraulic pump equipment with the huck guns attached under the torque tubes directly to the point of assembly.


This solution saves more than 50% of the time spent performing the assembly task, reduces the number of employees needed freeing them up to complete other tasks, and has a significant cost savings impact going forward.

Speed Lock Feature

Every machine retrofitted with Aitheon Autonomous Kit or rented by BotCrew has Speed Lock constant velocity control.


Once set by the robot pilot, the Speed Lock system allows the robot to adapt and accurately maintain its speed precisely over any rugged terrain between 1 m/s and 4 m/s (3.3 ft/s to 13 ft/s) without any outside intervention or additional input from the pilot.


Changing the speed value in the Aitheon Pilot app will make the robot accelerate and maintain the new speed.
